 The Human Embassy
Just on the edge of town,
Past the park, 3 shops down.
You'll find the ‘Human Embassy'
Where you get a visa,
For humanity!

Surprisingly, the que's not long
As humans think
They've done nothing wrong!
No shame, no guilt,
no fall from grace!
have you heard
of this place?

Paintings hang from the wall
Depicting the history of mans fall!
Wars, religion, imperialism and slavery!
Under a cloud of so called 'bravery.'

The shimmering of life
Behind the screens
Are ghost like figurers
like vague dreams.
Sooner or later, they call
Your name.
Then you start,
A brand new game.

The wraith like staff
Fire questions at you
You're told to answer true.
Questioning why you're here
Questions about your fear
And crimes you've committed
And the lies you have omitted!

Finally, they smile and stamp
Your visa form!
And welcome you…..
To the norm!
