Valentine's Treat

I received a phone call that afternoon
Telling me to get home that night by the light of the moon
Could not concentrate for the rest of the day
As through my mind, may scenes did play.

How my happiness show, and through me such joy did flow
People remarked  such as I collect my wine and roses from the store
And all through the joinery on my homeward drive
It had to be a miracle that somehow on the road  I survive.

On reaching the house all was quiet as a mouse
Nothing there to make my suspicions get arouse
But what more could there be in store
For me behind my closed house door.

Expectantly, I cautiously turned the key in the lock
When i opened to door, there was quite a shock
House well decorated, table well laid for dinner
All this I noticed as the candle light flicker.

Then I saw the trail of red clothes on the floor
Marking a path that lead to the bedroom door.
Pulse racing, heart beating my chops drooling with glee
So i opened the door and entered so hopeful, but this was not to be.

The bedroom was in red, smelt so sweet
And the bed it was covered in red satin sheets
Then I looked around to find my treat
But could not see, no matter how hard I seek

Then by the window in the moonlight I saw her silhouette
Depicting desirable  picture, and portraying such statuesque
Slowly dancing across the room and coming rhythmically into my arms
I stood there so astounded and captivated by her charms.

Then as we stood there holding, and began to dance
My desire intensifying as in her romantic presence
Our hands entwine as we move to the beat in time
I know in my heart, this will be a ecstatic night of valentine.
