Valentine's Cheer
There was the invitation to a night's lime
Perhaps this would be a nice way to pass the time
Also very a good way to spend the Valentine's season
So why not go in and may the best of the session.
While driving my car and looking for a good spot to park
The music that was being played, made me sit up with a start
It seems as though they were playing my favorite love songs
This brought memories of deeds so very strong.
Those were the very ones i enjoyed with my first valentine
Even thought she had gone aways, she was still present on my mind
About five years ago, to join her family, took to the skies
Now hearing those song, readily brought tears to my eyes.
On entering the room, decorated is such a bright red
The roses so fragrant, the aroma filled my head
Combined with the wine, this gave such a sweet feeling
I thought my head was going to reach the ceiling.
So I found a seat, decides it was best to sit
Letting this feeling wear off, so that later I will be fit
Enough to join in the celebration,and enjoy the night
But in the distance, a person at a table caught my sight.
Was it a real or was it a dream, this made me stare
This was certainly something, for which I did not prepare
She rose slowly from the table, smiling and tears in her eyes
My this certainly was one of my life's biggest surprise.
Rushed from her table. sprinted and jumped into my arms
Very beautiful still captivated my by her charms
My arms locked around her, holding on so tightly
As though I did not ever want her to again leave me.
Whispering and said, in all those years she longed
For the time when I could hold her long and strong
That all this was planned from her home with loving care
The pull was so strong came to bring me some Valentine's cheer.
