In Passing
Time his would come
Hers now to mourn
Loss of a parent
Child's heart now torn
This cycle of life
Does come with an ending
Facts hard as they are
As too ones heart mending
Sympathies are but all
Everyone can extend to
Sincere with intention
To console and help bring through
Loss of a father
Bringing pain all its own
Leaving memories once living
To a halt and alone
And though he's moved on
To a higher plain
She'll keep what he left her
To live on just the same
For you dearest friend
With loss we can't measure
Remember this too
Heaven keeps your lost treasure
