Poetic Verses

Caution lovers

There is much talk about the wonders of the world
Whose magnificence was such that made the head twirl
But they now are all but a mere passing shadow
Compared to your captivating and glorious aura.

Who can forget, that mention of Solomon in all his glory
Who was adorned and so well bedecked and very generously
But all those are in essence such a mere fraction
Compared to your splendor, of such a great proportion.

There were much written and said about the beauty of Cleopatra
Whose features, seem to be such a wonder in many an era
But that would not come close, not even by an iota
When compared to your pulchritude, in such a quota.

There are those who read the words of The songs of Solomon
Just like Shakespeare have metaphors, and similes so strong
But to find word and and expression, to describe you so aptly
Would need the compilation of another and special dictionary.

But let me zero in on the rose, whose brilliance really shows
But in your presence gets so over whelmed and so overshadowed
And that talk about velvet, well do not let us bother
Because your skin, there is nothing on earth that is smoother.

But you know sometimes we only find time to shower
Only on Valentine, like a torrent on our lover
Let us be very careful that this sort of convenient deluge
My backfire and be only taken as a sort of subterfuge.
