Love's Free Fall
Amazing how we fall in love
The perfect stranger a part of
Your better half fully becomes
Love searched for, the only one
Yet this find would not come easy
Attempts to fall became unpleasing
As Mister Right became all wrong
Game was your heart they strung along
Men would too fall into play
Heartbreak knows well an easy prey
With guard now down both will succumb
Demise feeding of two once one
The drop along the way to Earth
A parachute of no real worth
Would be of no use on the way
Down crashing pain hearts would pay
Love does sting the strongest heart
As well does slay and tears apart
The inner you they once made whole
Becomes the thief of heart they stole
Brave you would the altitude
Free fall becomes you attitude
Landing upon two feet yours
As time would heal what ailed it cured
Today now held are you by new
Soul mate for life once one now two
Are joined at hip in matrimony
Vows exchanged in ceremony
Free fall the past has now become
The love searched for, the prize won
Surviving falls along the way
The price though high again you'd pay
Happy Valentine's Day to all
May love be yours this day and always
