 To Battles Lost and Won
A scourge makes rounds without remorse
Intent it is to keep on course
In tow a life will pass this day
One every minute if it has its way

Children of every age will pay
As will adults battle today
This plague on Earth where cure is sought
Searched frantic for life's song it courts

A Child, pure innocence bedridden cries
As many pray, keep hope alive
For those who fight and fought this war
Scars of all kinds shy of deaths door

Mans will to end this reign of terror
To save a life today shall mirror
Efforts of past, present and future
Patient, family, their lives sutured

Many today shall go under
A surgeon's hand outcome theirs wondered
Pausing if for prayer and cure
Much pain, suffering they will endure

Today maybe shall be the day
If for a moment a prayer prayed
Is lifted high bringing healing
Curing disease of one more breath stealing

Join I will a loving friend
Endeared to me my ear would lend
Sparing a moment as I know so well
Where father of mine too also fell

Though his war fought back then was lost
My mother's life was spared a great loss
As hope sprung eternal, high was her cost
Today 82 survived war she fought

Dedicated to those who lost a loved one
To Cancer and to all who battle this day
Healing prayers to you and yours

candle burning Pictures, Images and Photos
