Poetic-Verses

'' You Should All Be Charged With Fraud ''

I went in to my bank today,
to enquire about a loan,
I wanted to go on holiday,
but I didn't like their tone.

I've never used my overdraft,
in credit I've always been,
they said to me you must be daft,
to think your credit rating's clean.

I asked her to explain to me,
exactly what she meant,
she said that if I looked I'd see,
my dealings are quite bent.

How dare you say I'm bent I said,
I'm honest and so true,
I've never once been in the red,
the same can't be said for you.

Your problem is I was told,
you're such an honest dude,
those very words left me cold,
being honest isn't good.

People like you we don't want,
You don't even need a credit card,
If we stick with you we'll end up gaunt,
That's why we're being hard.

She said their financial dealings,
required an element of risk,
which really hurt my feelings,
as my payments were always brisk.

If we gave you a loan today,
you'd probably pay it back,
arrears my friend you'd say no way,
then we'd all get the sack.

Let's say you took a mortgage out,
you'd pay it back in full,
that would leave the staff without,
now that's a load of bull.

We made the situation chronic,
by causing our  banks to crash,
but isn't it just ironic,
we still retain our stash.

We remain in employment,
our bonuses are all intact,
that gives us such enjoyment,
we've got this banking cracked.

For you we don't feel sorrow,
although you bailed us out,
we still have our tomorrow,
while you are left without.

What a world we live in,
where failure is success,
while we the good just cannot win,
we reward those who caused the mess.

What you're saying I don't believe,
in fact It's bloody odd,
that your freedom they do not relieve,
