This newly found heart and soul feels a desire of many before
It takes wing like the Phoenix on a fiery quest of truth and light
Explosive in a time that makes way of my essences and pride
A rivers rage covered in a Blue Chantilly-Lace of yesteryear.
The center and core of my heart and soul cries out for rebirth
As the eruption of a volcano spewing forth the molten earth
Resetting the life and love worn paths I have so often trekked
Clearing way for a new and sensual walk of love connected
My eyes wander so as to see every hiding spot there might be
It's who we are, what we are and where we come from my dear
We are of Mother Earth and the fire has been laden within our souls
That can't ever be forgotten. Shall we walk side by side or run?
We are an intricately woven fabric of such an array of people
Each one of us a stitch in this oddly tatted pattern of lace
Alone we are just colorful dangling threads sitting in needles
Together our hearts and spirits comprise the most beautiful quilts
Here we sit, on this sewing bench and I wonder how many before me?
I'm somewhat reserved in my own judgment and my very own surroundings
Listen to the singing of the song birds, glance at the lovers as they walk
Young and old they walk through the park with a care not hand in hand.
Come let us together take a stroll as we walk hand in hand
For we as lovers and as friends can enjoy all the splendors
That Mother Earth has so freely and eloquently lain before us,
Knowing that this path, though age old, is renewed in our hearts.
