Family Parable (Part Nine) Visiting Tom and Conversation
(Going in Tom's room)
SALLY:     Tom, mom and dad are right here
Rest and keep on hanging in there
JOHN:       You are strong with determination
                 Wanting to succeed, your ambition

SALLY:     Honey, Tom just gripped my hand
As if to say he will be okay again
(Prays)      Lord, thanks for this sign of hope
Continue to give us strength to cope

JOHN:       The doctor said to make our visit brief
I already feel a sense of peace and relief
Let's go to the motel and get some sleep
Tomorrow, I have a promise I want to keep

SALLY:     Do I have to remain in suspense that long
JOHN:       No, remember earlier I had fears all along
I took them to God and He is calling me
To receive Him as the faith in you I see

SALLY:     Thank You, Lord, for answer to prayer
JOHN:        I really want to know your Friend so dear
SALLY:     I will be delighted to point you to the Way
But it is only God that can save you anyway

(Sunday morning)
JOHN:       I am ready anytime, what do I need to do
SALLY:    It is great to see such excitement in you
Admit you are a sinner in God's eyes
Believe that for your sins Jesus died

SALLY:   Jesus took your place on the cross
Son of God, He came to save the lost
All sins, past and future He forgave
He rose again bodily from the grave

SALLY:    Confess your need of Him as Savior
You can do nothing to earn His favor
His Holy Spirit will come in to dwell
He reveals the truth to you as well

SALLY:     That may seem like a lot to digest
But it really is just as simple as this
Admit your sin, believing in your heart
God will forgive and His salvation impart

(John said a prayer from his heart inviting Jesus to come in)

JOHN:   I have peace and joy that I never had before
Thanks to you and glory to God forevermore
I cannot wait to share this with Dad and Tom
So they can have eternal hope in His kingdom
