Her Mortal Sin
She was not of this world
But fell in love with the worldly
Mission hers, to call for one whose time
was at hand, hers
Warmth felt, thoughts becoming
earthly, selfish, sinful upon a pure heart
Partnering with one to be judged
Him, a soul yet to take flight
A one way ticket punched by Heaven
Her home, his, still to be determined
Anguish became the last hour of life
For her heart wanted no part of this
beginning of an end
and so she fell unto her knees
In silence a passionate plea pierced
Sky Blue turning Red with anger
For this was not meant to be
But an escort to a higher plane
A higher love
and for her crime she would be
condemned to not return from whence she came
and another given what was hers
in their last hour
