Pleading Unity
Let it never to be ignored,
I state in the name of the Lord;
Not to live any longer in,
This world like some others in sin.
Their minds are set on worthless things,
As temporary pleasure brings;
And are keeping them in the dark,
Not realizing where they embark.
God does not give them blessedness,
From ignorance and stubbornness;
Since they have no more sense of shame,
And cannot accept any blame.
Sexual perversion fire,
What they practice and desire;
Enjoying what is immoral,
And with sensual apparel.
That is not what the Lord has taught,
And should not have been what you sought;
For you know the Scriptures as heard,
Knowing the message in the Word.
You have been taught within the ways,
Of Jesus so that no one strays;
The truth is in Christ on how to live,
And the blessings that God does give.
So do not say anything that would hurt,
Offending others that would flirt;
To another the wrong intent,
From a disparaging comment.
