In Prayer
Today upon waking this morn
I pray your well and weathered storms
That may have rocked and pounded you
I prayed to Him who saw you through
Today maybe you'll give some thought
Bringing to chance what I too sought
A moment just to say one thing
Rain upon your daughter blessings
Your moment now, stones throw away
For every tear you cried today
I'd like to catch but know He will
Promise His shall be fulfilled
I'd like to say I had a hand in this
But not mine but both of His
Would bare much pain I'll never know
As does your heart heavy it grows
You are loved much more by Him
Today maybe your suffering
Will come to pass bringing His peace
A change full circle you thought were least
In prayer mine, on your behalf
Upon this day, again I'll ask
To bring change and just reward
To you we love both in accord
