Poetic Verses
Dishonor
There is always that temptation, of migration
Hopefully to put one in a better financial position
In most cases some people tend to gravitate in a commune
Where they can carry many of their national traditions of home
Even though they are in a quite different land
It seems hard for them to really understand
That what they could do in their native country
Will not be accepted or considered in anyway legally.
Yes they will be no refusal of any particular religion
So long as the practice is not a threat to the nation
But must conform, to the laws as the native must
Which in most aspects are fair and just.
Now their offspring who are considered citizens of that territory
Will in most cases embrace those habits and customs readily
And most certainly, will not be saddled with or straddles by antiquity
Therefore would not accept their parent's customs that easily.
As all their formative years would have been in a specific locale
They will embrace all the habits and practices in total
Things like dating, and falling in love and then latter marry
The one they choose, and not someone prearranged by daddy.
Now the father do not want to change so he gets upset
Seeing this as now a form of total parental disrespect
Completely ignoring the daughter's happiness, but he dwindling power
And because his daughter's ways have now brought him some dishonor.
His anger now seem to transposed him, back to the native land
So in this state he has now a feeling of being in command
The punishment meted out, goes way beyond an admonition
Sometimes some irreparable damage can be done to the person.
