Simply Put
Love has a way to leave its mark
Upon your heart that someone sparked
But then came time for you to part
With her or him so now apart
But in you stays the best of them
What keeps and feels what GOD did send
To learn from, to comprehend
That sometimes good things have an end
Hold your breath, let out a sigh
For hurt it does when this goodbye
Became as real as once hello
Becomes transformed to now let go
Maybe for good, how could this be
There was so much you both believed
Would come of this, so much to live
So much so no doubt you'd give
Your heart again to them to see
That without one two cannot be
For they mean the world and more
Fulfilling things you kept in store
and though for now you walk alone
Sorting things out with pain condoned
You etch their name where it hurts
Mending what was, paper heart cursed
