Copper Top Conscience
Insert a fresh battery of sorts
For things today will come to court
A mind where stress becomes of you
A charge to change and make it through
Another day, just getting by
Another week, half charged that flies
Before eyes that need a break
For something good to come, partake
The best of you gives more than takes
It's just the way you share your cake
A slice, a portion now half baked
Conscience yours now needs a break
Insert you will of every kind
A thought for all upon your mind
Wishing the best for them this day
It's how you think, it's just your way
In doing so ignored are you
That dwindles now of spark once new
All energy has now become
Demise, the need to insert one
A thought for you, whose conscience dealt
Another thought for someone else
