Changes In the Middle East
Many believe that the Middle east can still
Have the ability to hold the world at its will
Since to many countries its oil is so vital
A cut in production will bring them to a stand still.
Who could remember that era of the oil crisis
When many countries, had to spend nights in utter darkness
As those oil countries cut their oil production
So some cities had to light up by a form of rotation.
Since oil was in such a demand for the production of energy
So any shortage will most certainly impact negatively
As those who depended on it for purposed of manufacturing
Most certainly found their operational costs increasing.
Now today all the world is watching with such apprehension
At what is currently happening in that very location
The people now having reaped success in Egypt
Now this is putting countries like Libya to the test.
Around the world there is now a look and a murmur
About how will the people there deal with the terror of Moammar
There will have to fight and stand up very rigidly
To thwart the efforts and the determination of Gadhafi
It is fresh in some minds how the man in earlier days
To many countries saying, could brought many some fears
Then recently his country paid out a great deal of money
Because of an occurrence over a place called Lockerbie
Could it be that the people living in those areas
Now being exposed to the news, via the mass media
Can see governments change and the easy transfer of power
Not having to live in fear straddles by the whims of a dictator.
Is there now a wind of change blowing in certain sectors of the orient?
And the newer generation are more demanding, and also more intolerant
Now more educated, demanding more, want a voice in making decisions
The people are now looking to see if this wind will blow in Iran.
