If I could take this day and put it in my pocket
Would I be able to relive its wonders?
This day was filled with happy-go-lucky feelings
What if it were possible to walk the walk?
Sometimes I dream too much
Sometimes a dream will come true
Close your eyes and wish for anything the heart desires
Because sometimes we reach to damn high for happiness
Sometimes we lift our spirits to the heavens
Just to believe faith has a calling.
Sometimes my heart aches like hell
Sometimes too much is just too much
Putting all your love into one person is a risky adventure
Who likes to wake up one day and only have change left?
Sometimes the heart leads you astray
Sometimes the truth hurts a whole lot.
I walk the streets as the Everyman
Darting in and out to save a penny or two
Sometimes feeling you are the only one out there is
Sometimes loneliness whittles you down to the bone
That's when you break out the Gin and give the Devil his due.
Sometimes everything works like clockwork
Sometimes your docked pay for that extra minute to long
Sometimes that makes you mad as hell
And you just won't stand for it any longer!
Sometimes there is not an answer for the loss of a loved one
Sometimes the thought of not wanting to live any longer
Is the answer to all your woes
Trusting yourself is a job that only you can handle
Sometimes you need to take a good look around
Sometimes that's a big mistake
For the day will be long and tempers run short
The dog barks, the cat scratches and the damn bird won't sing
It's hot as hell and no air is blowing anywhere
Sometimes the day goes right
Sometimes it doesn't, It's a "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof", if you will
But sure as the wind blows your faith grows stronger
"Whistle a Happy Tune" and find others will join in
Sometimes the crowd has to sing, "Row, Row your Boat"
Sometimes enough is enough!
Tomorrow is another day to put in your pocket
Or maybe not, for you have discovered a hole in your pocket
Sometimes you'll find that change in the cull of your pants
Sometimes just letting it go is the best feeling around
Sometimes life is to short and sometimes that is scary
Stop, look and listen to your world
Sometimes a whisper from Mother Earth is that important
Sometimes we get the message, sometimes not!
