Love for His Church
Sing with joy, oh Heaven,
Of what God has given;
Rejoice all here on earth,
God knows of your worth.
Echoes on the mountains,
Bachelors and maidens;
Break into shouts of joy,
Their voices do employ.
The Lord comforts each one,
Like life just had begun;
Such joy and such pleasure,
Cherished like a treasure.
God nurses each child,
So tender and mild;
From whence out of the womb,
Till lying in the tomb.
Mothers just may forget,
But God still has not yet;
In the palms of your hands,
Engraved are His commands.
You will wear them like jewels,
For when you are near fools;
And displayed like a bride,
That will help you abide.
Your walls are in His sight,
When you leave He just might;
Follow you all around,
So you are safe and sound.
