'' The Meaning Of Love ''
We go through life from the day we are born,
looking for solutions, some of them forlorn,
why are we living, why do we die,
regardless of what happens we have to know why.
Sometimes we'll succeed, there'll be times we do not,
those answers we crave just cannot be bought,
yet we'll go on searching throughout our years,
despite some conclusions driving us to tears.
There's no power can stop us from seeking the truth,
at times our behaviour can be so uncouth,
in our pursuits we sometimes hurt others,
our Mothers and Father our Sisters and Brothers.
Yet after we've hurt them we're left feeling sad,
this can leave us thinking, we must be mad,
why do have this insatiable need,
in our quest for knowledge to make others bleed.
Instead of disowning they come back to us,
they'll say you're forgiven don't make a fuss,
what is this quality, what is this trait,
they offer compassion but they never negate.
Those feelings of anger can be hard to bear,
you must look in the mirror to become more aware,
that now is the time for you to take stock,
only then will your inner feelings unlock.
Despite the damage and hurt we can cause,
if we learn from this that we all have flaws,
we can use the knowledge and wisdom gained,
by learning to live with those we have pained.
A problem shared is a lesson learned,
the respect of others you'll have earned,
as long as you digest all this and more,
your feelings for others will come to the fore.
You'll start to see life in a different light,
just like a blind man regaining his sight,
it's then you'll appreciate your family and friends,
you'll have learned how a broken heart mends.
One day you'll meet someone special in life,
you'll know at once that she'll be your wife,
I hear you ask why, how will you know,
the answer will come as your feelings grow.
Whenever you think of her you'll melt like butter,
It's then your heart and mind will flutter,
you will know what you feel must have come from above,
that's when you'll have learned,
