One can speak a thousand words how wise you may be
In the beginning you made the Earth, Moon and the stars
Who could say more or less?
Father we thank thee for six and one day of rest
Your hope for us, the World to be in Peace
All are your children with pride in your eyes you do weep
Wayward are some and others straight as an arrow
Youth holds not in focus for free will takes control
You blew the dust you gathered in your hands
Adam you named and a rib make Eve
Soon he did sin by seduction anew
You banished both to walk the land
You spoke to Noah the Earth you will flood
"Build me an Ark, gather two by two"
"Your Sons and their wives will be safe in My Hands"
"40 days and 40 nights was needed to cleanse the Earth."
Pharaoh enslaved your Children and you heard their cries
You then sent Moses to deliver your words, "Let My People Go!"
Pharaoh saw the mighty Hands of God, for the Nile did run red with Blood
By your might, Moses raised his staff, the Parting of the Sea
You sent an Angel to the Virgin Mary
Who would deliver your only Son in a manger under the Bethlehem Star
By trade a Carpenter to a young man of growing faith
He then healed the sick and the blind to see
By judgment and trial, which one would lose?
Jesus or the man Barabbas, a choice was to be made
Jesus was to give his life for a crime put upon by his own people
Laid on a Cross with nails driven into his flesh
Here it is Fathers Day and I have one wish if I could
To give my life in exchange that he might live on
Yet it was your will and to question is wrong
You're my King, my Savior and To My beloved Father,
