Pure Eyes
I gaze into your eyes,
And what do I see;
No deceit or lies,
As some who would be.
Innocent and pure,
Is what I see through;
With no tempting lure,
That would seduce you.
Such beauty within,
Shines out from the heart;
No corrupted sin,
To spread or impart.
And into her mind,
Of no evil thoughts;
So gentle and kind,
No knavishly plots.
God is in control,
Giving His blessing;
Purified your soul,
With your confessing.
Eyes pure and so dear,
Having precious sight;
Knows that God is near,
Guiding to the light.
For pure eyes are yours,
In all that you do;
Not tempted by lures,
That others construe.
Pure eyes for to guide,
On the proper path;
To read and abide,
Sparing from the wrath.
