Agriculture
Many countries inflicted with the development fever
Have most certainly, relaxed their local agriculture
So they decided that their future and survival, most certainly
Rest in the arms of increasing secondary and tertiary industries.
Now this problem, posed by this current recession
Have cause those travelers, to apply some caution
That when they go to any destination, that focus is so intense
To exercise prudence, and cut down on the expense.
So those countries, now that are primarily heavy importers
Because the most of the lands were in the hands of over zealous developers
Income distribution, quality of life, may be an important entity
That may impact on the quality of food, entering the country.
Now added to all these, and those increasing overheads
Such as the increasing oil prices, this is situation that dreads
Because as that rises, all other costs seems to follow
Not making the future any brighter for the morrow.
There were times, when a particular country's fishing trawlers
Would place their seine nets, in other countries waters
Thus depleting that region, of a variety of edible fish
Taking them back, to replenish that local sushi dish..
However some are turning to the sea, using aquaculture
So as to provide food and nourishment for the future
Also ensuring, that they could sustain a particular specie
As those seine fishermen could remove an entire colony.
There is also that use of a system, quite fantastic
This is the use of a technique called hydroponics
Nourishment enriched water is circulate with areas on the route
And the plants are placed so that it can be absorbed by the roots.
Now these times has most certainly become a form of eye opener
That no matter what, pay some attention to agriculture
Be it plants, poultry, animals; on land fresh or sea water
Try to be able to feed your population, that will make a great future.
