Wise Living
The fear of the Lord is knowing,
The direction you are going;
And you will be finding your way,
Without having to go astray.
To love wisdom and discipline,
Means that you are not lured by sin;
Not like stubborn fools who despise,
People that are noble and wise.
If you know what your mother taught,
Then your quests will be wisely sought;
And remembering discipline,
Whence that your father had given.
For the precepts are just a way,
In showing you how not to stray;
Keeping you as sharp as a tack,
And you remain on the right track.
Fools and sinners will try to lure,
By taking you through the wrong door;
Coerce you in an evil deed,
For planting a corrupted seed.
You will be swallowed up in a grave,
Because to sin you stay a slave;
And after you had been enticed,
You never did by chance know Christ.
