MORNING'S PEACE
This morning the sky was set ablaze
from horizon to horizon,
so bright it stung the eyes
with its luminous beauty.
And as I watched its metamorphosis,
as it slowly slid from
fiery red and violet to
copper and peach,
then translucent blue,
I felt my mind become quiet,
reflecting the sanctity of
the sunrise and the
eternal gift of
one more day.
And the morning was
heralded in peace.
