Climb the highest mountain, punch the face of god

Bring me the axe!

Aphrodite kisses the flawless
Lines away from my bitter skin.
She promises unadulterated love,
But I flee from such timeless ideals,
Searching and searching for the
Kiss of a tainted moonlight.
I'm alone forever, pulling the drapes back to
See the pearl in the sky and wondering
Where my symphony of care has dropped its load?
Transcendent night, how
Foiled the dawn has now become.
A prelude to failure, so velvet upon my tongue
Like a crisp morning dew.
I should know better, treating
Lust like dead rose petals, crunching
Them beneath my feet and whispering
Falsities into a burning wind.
I want to be mesmerized, not downsized and ignored
Like an homage to some falling star.
With my extraction from this guilt,
I grow regret like a shrub of wisterias,
I cut away and cut away but forever will they be
A faint reminder of Aphrodite's poisonous kiss.
