Is It A Dream?
Every night I settle down,
Ready for another sleep,
Then into my dream like slumber...
Once more you begin to creep.
The nightmare is the same,
You're dead and in your tomb,
And as I look and look at you,
I'm encased in a darkened room.
I stand and stare and stare...
Till my eyes are full of pain,
Dreading the moment will come,
When you're alive again!
Still in dream you awake,
And sit up all dressed in white,
Look at me with that 'look,'
The look that gives me such fright!
I try to run and hide,
But there you are each time,
Abusing my body and mind...
Did the punishement fit the crime?
I wake up with a start,
In a lather of sweat and fear,
Thinking thats its true,
That once again your here!
But reality sets in,
And I'm alone in my bed,
No more fear and pain,
No more living in dread!
