I have a little leprechaun all of my own
He`s human honest! he`s not made of stone,
He walks and talks and tells a joke or two
He`s a prankster and can play a trick on you.
He`s sharp, quick and witty and intelligent too
In fact I think he could run circles round you,
Mischievous is his nature that`s for sure
It`s part of being Irish for it is their folklore.
My little leprechaun is second to none
I am sure you wish that we all had one,
You can`t buy them on the net they`re not for sale
You have to go to Ireland so set your sail.
They hide among the bushes or in the bog
And they are very hard to spot in the fog,
But you`ll have to be quick to capture one
For one sight of you and they are gone.
They`ll play the tin whistle and do the Irish jig
For they like nothing more than a good shindig,
St. Patrick`s Day is the time that they love best
That`s when their little feet know no rest.
Good luck in your search for your leprechaun
You can go on searching from dusk to dawn,
This will make them happy playing tricks on you
Now you see me, now you don`t - Peek-a-boo.
