An Exhortation to Learn
Open your ears also your eyes,
So you can be taught to be wise;
Listen to the words from my tongue,
Letting your ears catch what is flung.
I open my mouth to show you,
Letting you to vividly view;
That was hidden long time ago,
Explaining it so you will know.
For I do not have any doubt,
Things we have heard and known about;
Things that your parents may have told,
That had happened in days of old.
We hide such things from young minors,
Since they are squawkers and whiners;
For most would never understand,
The complexity to command.
The next generation will see,
Of power and great deeds will be;
Miraculous things God has done,
As well as being through His Son.
Children that are yet to be born,
Not seen the dawning of the morn;
Would be learning as they mature,
As they finally pick the door.
The door that they finally pick,
Defines good health or being sick;
Having pleasures throughout this life,
That leads them through toils and strife.
