In the park the children play hide and seek
Enjoying wonderful time they do true
Little Emily has very rosy cheek
From all the excitement as she runs to
Children giggle and laugh hard as they play
For a good place to hide they are seeking
And in the park behind trees go hiding
Little Emily is happy with her friend
They're taking a break from all their fun game
Her mom smiles as a kiss to her send
There's much joy this spring morning to proclaim
As she goes calling so sweetly her name
Her mom hugs her tight and says I love you
Emily laughs and says to her the same too
Around parents take care of them and talk
Others just relax or with their own play
It's such a fine spring morning for a walk
Kids run to and fro or sit on a swing
They are all having so much fun playing
All sorts of games here at the park this time
It doesn't matter running or singing rhyme.
