Sept.11,2001.....for the country
and now-
March 11,2011....
the day+year 11-the worst time in my history
that too will live in infamy!!!!


The Eagle Cried©



On a morning late in summer, my sanity was surprised.
I ventured on an eagle, and I saw that he had cried.
My bewilderment not scorned, my friendship not belied.
As I asked of his great sorrow, at the tears that he had cried.
My feathers are in tatters, my spirit compromised.
A darkness holds my beloved land, you see now why I cried.
I protect and comfort many, a heroic symbol in their eyes.
But an evil has forsaken many, and that is why I cried.
Much death and mass destruction, upon this land now lies.
This evil took me unaware, you now know why I cried.
I took this bird into my heart, while in my arms he lyed.
"Together we will overcome," I said and with him too I cried.
His eyes now shown with fire, his spirit grew in size.
"I will call together this great land," he said
as I dried the eyes that cried.
We will rebuild the USA, her heart and spirit proudly arise,
To show the world what happens, on a day the eagle cried.

My sweetheart wrote just this 1 public beaut of a poem,
i tried so hard to get more gems from him!

Your tears will not be in vain my comrade,
an alliance we will form.
We'll fight back against this
hatred bestowed upon our land,
a guarantee iron-clad:
with our mighty fortress we shall storm.
In life's trials the burden of proof lies,
within our wounds that never die!
We've heard your cry,
we've seen your tears.
A task will never cease to lie,
on our shoulders through the years.
We must restore our spirit,
so it can soar like your's.
You need no longer fear it,
we'll take bitterness NEVER MORE!
