Poetic Verses
Water
There was this cry as far back as I can remember
That the world is now at a very critical stage with water
If efforts are not made quite soon, this to address
Then sometime later we all will have some stringent tests.
We all look with awe at a new building or complex when done
Without looking that this now has the problem further compound
As the increasing populating, now adding to the consumer
By our manner of usage, does not making any better.
Like that manner in which used, when taking a shower
There are those who let the water run in an extravagant manner
Sitting there, just daydreaming and perhaps thinking
Whilst in that process, a few gallons of water wasting.
There are places, where people from dusk until dawn
Have water running, all that time wetting the lawn
Seeing not to concern, or having any compassion
Only for themselves, not the world critical water situation.
It is time now to show that concern as caring people
Get quickly into that culture of being one to recycle
Saving that water from the bath and that from laundrying
Collecting it, to be used for the toilet when flushing.
When showing as a couple excise some care
There is nothing wrong with going there and the water share
If indeed there is something that may be a distraction
Just turn the water off, during that time of digression.
