This Could Be
There was a time when I wore my heart on my sleeve
but I have learned the hard way
to protect something that can be broken so easily
to guard your emotions just a little more
there's nothing wrong with taking it slow
there isn't a rule you must jump when someones says go
I want to go at my own pace but it doesn't mean
I will never love you
it's just taking me a while to open up
it doesn't mean I don't love you
it's just right now it's hard to show it
so please be patient with me
don't give up on me
because I think we are closer to finding out
how special this could be.
