 I Do
Listen here, don't miss this;
Starting with a tender kiss.
Beginning a life together;
Braving all kinds of weather.
The two now become one;
Walking into the evening sun.
Unity indwells our souls;
Our honest love controls.
Not out of the law or fear;
But out of our hearts so dear.
I remember that gentle day;
We joined our walk this way.
Watching her walk down the aisle;
Knowing this was very worthwhile.
We joined hands, the pastor spoke;
My resolve was as strong as an oak.
I listened to the marriage vows;
Knowing within, not the how's.
Believing we will see this through;
Without a doubt, I said, “I do.”
