 189. Trying to Change the World
(Starter line provided by Shy)

Trying to change the world
Without first changing our minds
Is like trying to clean the dirty face
We see in the mirror
By scrubbing the glass.

If I hear one more
Self-serving
Mumble grumble
About the world
Not serving you and yours
Us and them
Mentality,
I
Am
Going TO
SCREAM!!!

There is NO
Us and Them
There is ONLY
US,
There is ONLY
You!!!!

In the dream
When two people
Are arguing
Realize
They are BOTH
YOU!!!

In this world
In this life
The same is also
True.

You can just walk away
You can just write them off
You can just call them
Names
And not look back,
But then we would be
Missing the point.

It takes just as much work to find
Understanding within ourselves
As it does
To find understanding
With those we have labeled.

Hatred and blame
Are easy.

Forgiveness and understanding
Don't have to be hard,
But they can be
When we can't
See with Love,
Which has the power
To transform
Everything,
Us & Them,
Me & You.
