The Endangered Fish

It is amazing how many people today actually relish
To have on the dish, a very delicious fish
Now an increasing population, may hasten that depletion
Also those factor that may affect conditions in the ocean.

Modern vessels for fishing are now blessed with the ability
To stay for many day as they fish on the sea
Blessed with the technology, and the process of refrigeration
So that the fish can remain in a state of edible condition.

Some even a bit bolder, may sail under the radar
And proceed to take catches, in forbidden waters
Using those specialized, and gigantic nets
This process, there is no time to sift through to reject.

As this process adds to the growing problem of over fishing
Many of those important species population is diminishing
The onus will be on the fishermen to look very conscientiously
If they want to ensure that there is some form of continuity.

Overtime no doubt, and this is a very established fact
There has been a very great increase, in the ocean's traffic.
The coating of the liner, any garbage from the passenger
Many also contribute to make the fish's life harder.

Then those whose drill for oil,on the ocean's floor
Have now even compounded the problem a bit more
As in those cases, where there are those oil spills
They usually have  very compromising effect on the fishes' gills.

There are time when it is very hard to contain
That gas coming from the floor, called methane
This too may cause an increase, in the ocean's temperature
Always a factor which my also put the fish in danger.

But alas we can only look on with such astonishment
At the changing face of the ocean's environment
Corals are bleaching, the jelly fish population is increasing
They most certainly will eat the fishes' eggs, during spawning.

So therefore let us all work together very assiduously
And really understand, the very great importance of the sea
We must understand and appreciate this very grave situation
If no corrected, my pose a problem to the future generation.
