Last week I had a four day job assignment
Grateful it is a start, even if not permanent
Folding paperwork and stuffing envelopes
I know that something else will soon develop
I shared the project with another temp employee
For the state's only Chapter 13 Trustee attorney
Sorting through stacks of paper totaling 50 reams
Band-aids and other aches, we made a great team
We matched each cover letter with creditors report
Except for 4 reports, all were from 9 to 1 page short
Placing our finished envelopes in over 15 mail bins
Ready for their staff to run through the meter then
Friday our fingers were going at maximum speed
With at least a half stack each and 3 more yet ahead
Working together, we finished almost a half hour early
They posted the rest, then to the post office in a hurry
I am reminded that Jesus paid the largest debt we owe
Because of Calvary, we can be made as white as snow
As we come in child-like faith, believing in Him alone
He cleanses and forgives all our sin by His blood atoned
Colossians 2:13-14 (ESV)
And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the
uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together
with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, 14 by
canceling the record of debt that stood against us with
its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to
the cross.
