O sun and moon of distant part
Such night shall never be of day ,
As thine and I will never twine -
Excruciating wae !
Lips to never kiss of ane
Edenic eyes nor gaze by frae ,
Lachrymose will in us lang -
To thine of night , and I of day .
Forevermore and evermore
Our pize from dark to light shall dree ,
But Love’s undying love will bide
Ever thus , listlessly !
