  Forgiveness

Forgiveness

This silence eating my heart
insidiously crushing my soul
So bitter and unjust
Horrible, horrible silence
What hath I done
To be  treated this way?
What hath I done
To deserve this deception?
If I hath cost you pain
I'm profoundly sorry
If I hath insulted you
It was by no mean
If I hath disrespected you
It was not intentional.
Now I'm kneeling before  you
Awaiting to be forgiven
A simple handshake
Will be well by
In this brief life
Silence has no place to be
Living in harmony
May the best model there be.
