MOUNTAIN ROADWAY
MOUNTAIN ROAD
Built as a serpentine
The mountainous road
Lets us clings tightly to the
Refuge offered.
Struggling forwards the
Mountain people take
It in their stride striving onwards,
On winding roadway each step a danger.
In a life of unforgiving poverty
If you slip no one can help.
No love lost on natures wonders
Each footfall a battle toiling, and
Striving to arrive before the sun sets.
Home at last no matter how dire:-Home.
Is the hearts rest: - At peace...
Built as a serpentine
The mountainous road
Lets us clings tightly to the
Refuge offered.
Struggling forwards the
Mountain people take
It in their stride striving onwards,
On winding roadway each step a danger.
In a life of unforgiving poverty
If you slip no one can help.
No love lost on natures wonders
Each footfall a battle toiling, and
Striving to arrive before the sun sets.
Home at last no matter how dire:-Home.
Is the hearts rest: - At peace...
