Memories and Visions
Glassine-Winged
She sees herself as fragile,
Glassine-winged and small
Like a fairy creature
Among the leaves of fall.
Flitting past the branches,
Wanting summer days,
Chaffing at the chill,
In a world of muted grays.
She's magic to my eyes,
A mystery to unfold
And like the fiery leaves
Such beauty to behold!
Passing through the gray
She colors everything,
Oh, if she could see herself;
Unfettered beauty taking wing.
From my book: "Across the Miles and Years"
Glassine-winged and small
Like a fairy creature
Among the leaves of fall.
Flitting past the branches,
Wanting summer days,
Chaffing at the chill,
In a world of muted grays.
She's magic to my eyes,
A mystery to unfold
And like the fiery leaves
Such beauty to behold!
Passing through the gray
She colors everything,
Oh, if she could see herself;
Unfettered beauty taking wing.
From my book: "Across the Miles and Years"
