Memories and Visions
Flight
She whispered softly, lips to ear,
Of feelings deep within her heart;
Soft, gentle exhalations that
Aroused me with a subtle art.
As embers by the wind are stoked
So my heart was set aflame
Through gentle whispers, lips to ear,
When hungrily she called my name.
And lovely flames consumed my world
Dancing in a midnight rite
While love and I flew through the skies
In endless waves of heat-fueled flight.
From my book Across the Miles and Years.
Of feelings deep within her heart;
Soft, gentle exhalations that
Aroused me with a subtle art.
As embers by the wind are stoked
So my heart was set aflame
Through gentle whispers, lips to ear,
When hungrily she called my name.
And lovely flames consumed my world
Dancing in a midnight rite
While love and I flew through the skies
In endless waves of heat-fueled flight.
From my book Across the Miles and Years.
