The Edge
Moving beyond my comfort zone;
Yet staying safe from danger.
Seeking that special dwelling;
Always trying to find the edge.
The mind, body, and breath's union
Cannot be found at any other place.
Holding back, my mind gets bored;
Try too hard, and my mind escapes.
On the Yoga mat, I have found
A rich and fertile garden of wisdom.
Where extremes meet in presence;
Gently finding for tonight the edge.
Reaching into the utter darkness;
The unknown bubbles up inside.
Absorbing the emotions and stress
Of another day, my practice blossoms.
In that unique present moment;
My soul absorbs the sweet peace.
Stillness wraps her arms around me;
Embracing me as I find the edge.
