Exhort Men to Praise God
We have sinned so did our roots,
And has made us corrupted fruits;
We are guilty and have done wrong,
And the agony will prolong.
The time of our ancestors,
Many of them were protestors;
They gave no thought of miracles,
And looked up to false oracles.
They started to worship fake gods,
Not thinking of them being frauds;
But still the Lord had shined His light,
Watching over them day and night.
Even with the acts of mercy,
They were still unable to be;
The people of His chosen race,
That God had shined upon with grace.
God saved them for reputation,
While promising salvation;
And could make His mighty power,
Known throughout every hour.
They committed iniquity,
Just as we have done wickedly;
Although our idols are fake,
God still has saved for His namesake.
For the Lord will certainly bless,
If we do admit and confess;
Then believe in His Holy Word,
And sing praises for to be heard.
