'Celebrate'I'm sitting here, a bit of stress, Wondering which way's the best To take my steps, make my play With hope it brings a brighter day. The sun is back! Golly-G, I'd best take a second glance to see, But hey, I'm pumped! I'm ready, Freddy, Bring it one, I'm hip and trendy! And just for those who read these words, No, I'm not a nutty squirrel, But I do applaud their efforts They tease, and squeeze, without an effort. I did my time, the winter's gone, And to it I say, "Good riddance! And don't come back anytime soon Or POW! You'll be sent clear past the moon!" I love the Spring, though Autumn better Even though I hate what follows, But life begins once more within While songs spring from the swallows. They love this time, I love the songs The birds on wing do sing, And oh what wonders they bestow Upon the vistas far below. Our eyes sweep wide to marvel At all that blooms about, With not the need to hasten quicker Regardless, how we shout. All that sleeps now comes awake To live the time allowed it, And with it comes new life once more To celebrate, just like before. Rusty Blackwood copyright 2011 ~ Spring! Wonderful, glorious wonderment of new life, the beautiful colours soon to show themselves in brilliance untold, until their hue becomes fire and gold. New life awakens every day, every way, and I hope each of you take some time to enjoy it. I certainly will!~ R.B. > All Rights Reserved by Author < ** Vote for this poem
