I thank You because
Instead of wealth
You have blessed me with
Long years and good health.
You've blessed me with memories
On which I must thrive
Because so many of my loved ones
Are no longer alive.
So I must pray every day
That we will not forever be apart
And in the meantime it is true
They still live in my heart.
Mama, Daddy, Grandma, Grandpa,
Steve, Sol, Milt.
My baby who died before she was born,
Aunts, uncles, friends and cousins too,
One day in Heaven
I'll be united with you.
And after I climb those Heavenly stairs
I'll discover the answers to all of my prayers.
