We are at war;
a dear generation dies off shore
but foes within are killing more.
News exhibits
superstar addictions, tempers frayed
and fashion flaws as values fade.
Systems designed
to help, victimize and help themselves
while wages and jobs are withheld.
Social networks
brazen virtual contacts explore
where reality dares not go.
Dysfunction reigns
as though it were a badge of honor
instead of a trend of horror.
Leadership wanes;
the unworthy demand loyalty
crushing those with sagacity.
Where there is sin
the earth will heave for the innocent
and natural resources spent.
Life in extremes'
fast lane fades for a fledgling nation
that scorned its Godly foundation.
