 208. Through My Eyes
I cannot count the times
I've heard the phrase,
The hope,
And prayer
“I wish the world
Was a better place.”

If this is
Your prayer
And you have
Had such a thought
About how
I see the world
Then read on.

Such things
Take effort
And our
Constant avoidance
Of pain
Means that
We are ignoring
The wisdom
That comes
With the pain.

That for every
Person who
Annoys us
Is a message
Of love and
Understanding
About ourselves,
And how
To heal
In that
Relationship
What is also
Wrong
With the world.

Without their
Reminder
We could never
Heal ourselves,
And to ignore
Or push them
Away
Is how cancer
Learns
To thrive.

There are times
When we have
The energy to
Deal with people
And situations
And other times
When cave time
Is good time
Until we can come
From a place
Where we
Can deal
With it
& them.

The energy
Is worth
Being the
Answer
To our own
Prayer.
