Death of Distance
Today we can see in the world at every instance
Signs that indicate there will be an imminent death to distance.
There is that continuing expansion in the methods of communication
Thereby one can traverse many nation, or have access to information.
Imagine some year ago, sitting at home biting the nails on the finger
As you sit at home awaiting and answer, or an important letter
Today life and situations has been made must easier
As a response via e-mail, can be obtained in less than an hour.
Other times one of the quickest routes, that was available
Was to see the person a message by what was then a cable
Now this had to be brief, sometime in the form of precis
As the length can impact on the pockets, quite significantly.
As times move on, the availability of the telephone
Now the computer is also incorporated, into that zone
The many modifications, accessories, has added that diversity
So that anywhere on earth can be traversed, now digitally.
On those special occasions when one is far away from home
Those moments can make you feel down, especially when alone
Now using the web-cam, you most certainly can
Have a very good time, while communicating with the clan.
There are times when one cannot, grace with ones presence
Those many interesting and informative educational conferences
So that one can sit in ones office and willingly participate
Through the medium of teleconference, add to the debate.
Those times when a pathologist need a form of consultation
The slide can be sent for a telepathological discussion
