kisses sweeter than ham©
Twas the friday before easter
and all thru my house,
no music no laughter
as quiet as a mouse.
Not to mention
the rest of the year,
without my precious faron
the deafening silence i hear.
He gave me such sweetness
everyday beyond compare,
with just one tender kiss
in heaven i was there.
Soon would be the sweet smell of ham
that he prepared so lovingly,
then his pot pie oh how i am
craving just one morsel from thee.
I would give anything
to hear those sweet words from my mate,
it would make my heart sing
dear it's ready come get a plate.
He was so cute and so proud
in the kitchen every holiday,
since the day we met my head is bowed
giving thanks he came my way!
